Third-Party Platforms

These activities are governed by the relevant platforms’ privacy statements - further information specific to each use case can be found below (where relevant).

Third Party Platforms

Autodesk® Fusion 360® Add-Ins

This privacy policy applies to all Fusion 360 add-ins developed by Threadbuilt, including but not limited to:

  • Spirograph Maker

If you purchase a paid version of this add-in from the Autodesk App Store, your payment information is processed securely by Autodesk’s third-party providers (such as PayPal) and is subject to their respective privacy policies.

Important Note for Fusion 360 Users: Add-ins developed by Threadbuilt are designed to be "Privacy-First." Because these tools operate locally on your machine, the third-party sharing mentioned above does not apply to the data within your Fusion 360 design files.

Our Commitment to Privacy

We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it. Our add-ins are designed to operate according to a "Privacy by Design" principle: they function entirely within your local Fusion 360 environment without collecting, storing, or transmitting any personal data to Threadbuilt or any third party.

Data Access & Collection

Our add-ins only access data strictly necessary for their core modeling functionality. This includes:

  • Design Data: Reading the active Fusion 360 design to generate geometry.

  • User Inputs: Processing parameters (radii, offsets, gear ratios) provided by the user.

  • Entity Selection: Identifying selected planes, faces, or edges to position the generated sketch.

  • API Integration: Utilizing the official Autodesk Fusion 360 API to perform modeling operations.

Data Storage

Threadbuilt does not host any remote databases. All data remains local to your machine:

  • Parameters: Dimensions and settings are stored as attributes within your .f3d files.

  • Preferences: Last-used settings (e.g., your favorite "pen" offset) are stored locally in the Fusion 360 application's local storage to improve workflow.

  • Debug Logs: If troubleshooting is required, technical logs may be generated locally on your computer. These are never automatically transmitted.

Data Transmission

To ensure total security, our add-ins:

  • Do NOT connect to the internet or external servers.

  • Do NOT transmit any data outside of your local Fusion 360 environment.

  • Do NOT use cookies, tracking pixels, or telemetry.

  • Do NOT collect analytics or usage statistics.

  • Do NOT share data with third parties.

Security

Because our software operates strictly offline and locally, your data remains as secure as your local computer system and your Autodesk account.

User Rights & Control

You maintain 100% ownership and control over your data:

  • All geometry created is part of your standard Fusion 360 design files.

  • You may delete or modify any created entities at any time.

  • Uninstalling the add-in removes the executable code from your system entirely.

Autodesk and Fusion 360 are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
